New Black Belts

On the 23rd July 2017 Aaron Lloyd and Karl Sichert were presented with their Black Belt Certificates and Belts after completing their gradings throughout the week.

Aaron becomes the youngest and only 2nd ever 1st Dan at JSKD from white belt. Aaron has spent 6 years at the club his essay explains how much it means to him. Aaron’s Essay can be found here

Karl joined the club in 2015 originally training to 2nd Kyu with the KUGB. After over 20 years of training towards 1st Dan he has finally achieved his goal. Karl will also be opening another JSKD club in Willington where he first started Karate which will see a JSKD class take place on everyday of the week across the Durham region. More of Karl’s journey can be found in his essay. Karl’s Essay can be found here

I am honoured to pass both 1st Dan, both are hard working and great karateka and look forward to the future with them as Black Belts alongside me and the current team.
